Andrew Atanasoff is an interdisciplinary artist primarily working in print and sculpture. He graduated from York University in 2024 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honours Degree. Atanasoff often combines print and sculpture, allowing his surroundings to drive and influence the forms and pieces he creates. Growing up in small town rural Ontario, Atanasoff gleans much from his experiences there and translates it into his practice. Through his work he embraces antiquated and redundant forms and methods. Some of the themes he explores are: privacy, development, production, home, materiality, and the everyday. In his practice Atanasoff aims to let the process, tools, and materials shine through letting the viewer ‘in’ on the transformative process seen in the final work.
